Giving Thanks

Posted on April 23, 2015 at 8:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Goodmorning to all my viewers. I hope you enjoyed the poem "A Simple Prayer". In this poem, the writer is sharing with you words that are expressed to their higher power. Sometimes we get caught up in our daily routine of life and we forget that if it wasn't for the touch of Grace, our eyes would not have opened this morning.

Today lets say a simple prayer by giving thanks to our creator, acknowledging that we know if it was not for the Grace and Mercy bestowed upon us, we would cease to exist.

Good afternoon to all my viewers. This week's post is called "A Simple Prayer" . I hope you enjoy.

A Simple Prayer

For hello my friend,

its been a long time.

I'm sorry it has taken so long.

But I'm doing just fine.

I wanted to say, "Thank you"

for watching over me.

Even when I lost sight of you,

I remained protected by thee.

I woke up this morning

in my right mind to be.

Under your grace and mercy,

I kept all my faculties.

My family is all healthy,

pursuing life's dreams as they do.

I'm happy to be a child of yours

I just wanted to say, "Thank you".

Creating A New Memory

Posted on April 23, 2015 at 8:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Good morning viewers and Happy Father's Day. I hope you enjoyed yesterday's poem "Daddy's Home" posted in honor of all the Daddy's on this day. In yesterday's poem, the writer is sharing a memory of a period of time on their journey. A Daddy is an important role in the nurturing of a child and should not be taken lightly. As children and also in adulthood, we sometimes take for granted the presence of someone we love. Never considering the fact that the person may one day have to leave our journey. Whether the person leaves intentionally or unintentionally, we must understand love is love. Any loss under any circumstances has the potential of creating an imbalance of the three elements of Self.

As we go along our daily routine this week lets reflect upon and appreciate someone we hold dear to us and create a new memory.

Daddy's Home

Good morning to all my viewers today's Blog post is called "Daddy's Home". This is posted in honor of Father's Day.

Daddy's Home

The front door squeaks,

familiar fragrance fills the air.

My Daddy's home,

he is finally here.

Sitting quietly,

in the chair in the den.

Waiting patiently for me

and my sister to come in.

Large hands tapping his legs,

I sat on his right knee.

My ear seeking the rhythm,

of his steady heartbeat.

A man of few words,

pearly teeth glistening.

There's no mistaken his love,

I know now he was proud of me.

For time has passed,

the leaves have fallen once more.

How I long for the squeak,

of the now battered front door.

As I walk through the entranceway,

of the deserted den.

There awaits the chair,

however empty and barren.

As a child growing up,

the assumption is there will always be.

Never thought of the day,

I miss the man I called Daddy.

Chasing My Vision

Posted on April 23, 2015 at 7:55 PM Comments comments (0)

Good morning viewers,

Before I begin there has been a slight change in my Blog entries. For future reference, I will be posting a poem and question every other week opposed to every week. I am presently working on my book, which will include many new poems, never read before. Each poem posted to my blog, has a deep meaning created to empower and provoke thoughts of the reader. We are all on a journey called life, in which we are presented with many storms. However these storms can cause us to sometimes become complacent, cynical and settle for a life of mediocrity. By maintaining a balance of the three elements we can learn to love and take care of Self, by your definition. So when these storms of life come against us, because they will, the Mind, Body and Soul will work together to sustain a healthier you. For as we know all things work together. I will keep you updated on my book release. Also, I am looking forward to unloading videos of me reciting some of my poetry on u-tube. Coming Soon!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks poem, "The Vision". This is very special piece, the writer is sharing that sometimes it may appear that we have lost our ability to see out side of where we are but we must keep our Faith. For without a vision we will internally die not fulfilling our true purpose. Yes, life is a gift from our higher power, so to embrace it, is pleasing to him. We have to keep Faith by moving towards the things hoped for. God will open a door, we just have to believe and walk through it.

As we go along our daily routines this week, I would like for you to ask yourself three questions;

1.Where am I now?

2. Where do I envision myself to be?

3. What am I doing to move towards this vision?

Please note: I have "Dear Me I Love You" journals for purchase per request. Please e-mail me either through my contact page or directly. Again thank you for all of the continued support.

The Vision

Good morning to all my viewers, this week's poem is called "The Vision". I hope you enjoy.

The Vision

Staring into the darkness,

I cannot see.

Induced feelings of fear

Has my eyes failed me.

The soul knows its bleeding

for this it implies.

For without a vision,

it will wither and die.

Where are the dreams,

that I used to possess.

Where are the goals I once sought,

have there been no success?

Far off in the distance

there's a line of bright light.

Has hope been restored?

Have I regained my sight?

My hand touches the knob

no effort required.

For who cracked this door,

afraid to inquire.

"Come in my child"

said a voice that I knew,

"It's your destiny,

I've been waiting for you".

Defining Me

Posted on April 23, 2015 at 7:55 PM Comments comments (0)

Good morning viewers,

I hope you enjoyed this week's poem called "Who Am I". These words come from a place of inner conflict one may be presented with, when expectations of others are projected on them and not met. In "Who Am I", the writer is sharing that when we allow others to define who we are, it has the potential of inducing feelings of resentment and frustration. These feelings create an imbalance of the three elements and can stagnate ones true authenticity. For we are all uniquely created, therefore be confident in who you are.

As we carry out our daily routines this week, lets re-evaluate how we define ourselves to maintain the balance of Self.

The Journey

Good morning to all my viewers. Todays post is called "The Journey".

The Journey

As she walks along this journey of life,

encountered by storms and winds of strife.

Listening to the chatter in the howl of the wind,

a quandry of thought begins to move in.

Can I make it?,she says.

The mind quickly reacts.

Questioning her choices.

Should she be on this path?

The body is laden,

defenseless to all those that threaten.

The world becomes her focus,

her purpose forgotten.

From within the soul speaks,

"Where have you been for so long?"

"Who is your creator?"

"Where has your faith gone?"

At that very moment,

she orders the wind to cease chatter.

She shouts, "My creator is in control,

your opinions does not matter."

Once again there is silence,

for in confidence she knows.

To continue this journey,

requires the balance of Mind, Body and Soul.

Who Am I

Good morning my viewers. Today's post is called "Who Am I". I hope you enjoy.

Who Am I

"Who am I", she says.

Who do you want me to be?

You think I don't know who I am,

projecting expectations and creating misery.

My Dad says that I'm strong.

My Mom says I'm too weak.

My friends say I act funny,

and tell me what I need.

My husband says he loves me,

imperfections and all to include.

When he continuously tells me,

what to wear and what to do.

Feelings of resentments have set in.

The judgment needs to end.

For I regret to inform you,

save everyone of your opinions.

So, God if I'm wrong,

please forgive me you see.

However I can't be concerned,

with what others view of me.

For I am, who I am.

A human gift from thee.

For I know, you make no mistakes.

Thank you, I'm okay with being me.

Look to your Creator

Good morning viewers,

I hope you enjoyed this weeks poem "I'm Not Alone". This poem is one of my favorite pieces. In "I'm Not Alone", the writer is sharing that as we travel along our journey, friends and sometimes family members will fall away. As disheartening as that may be when they leave, not everyone is destined to accompany us on this journey. There is a reason and purpose for all things; therefore have Faith that it will come together. Seasons will come and go. Although it may feel like we are all alone, you must believe that your higher power is always there.

When we look at the three elements of Self, the Soul which connects the Mind and Body requires possessing faith in our creator. As we go along our daily routines this week, lets find ways to strengthen this relationship with our higher power to maintain the balance of Self.
